Yakisoba is a popular Japanese street-food dish bursting with flavors from its sweetsour, savory sauce. This version, made with Ayuko dried ramen noodles and yakisoba sauce, is easy to prepare and perfect as a quick meal.
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 1 pack Ayuko dried ramen noodles (180 g)
- 150 ml Ayuko yakisoba sauce
- 150 g chicken fillet or pork strips
- ½ small cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- ½ onion, halved and sliced
- ½ red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the dried ramen noodles per the package until just al dente. Drain, rinse under cold water to prevent sticking, and set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken or pork and cook until golden and done, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add the onion, cabbage, carrot, and pepper to the pan, stir- and fry 4–5 minutes until the veggies are crisp-tender.
- Add the noodles and pour in the Ayuko yakisoba sauce. Stir well to coat and cook another 2–3 minutes.
- Serve immediately—optionally topped with Japanese mayo or chili for extra kick.
